How does a project start?
A free 30-minute call, then a written proposal with a fixed price. Once you approve it we kick off, and you see progress every week.
Is a penetration test legal? Will it break my site?
It's legal when the owner authorizes it in writing, which is the first thing we do. We agree on what's in scope and when we test, and we avoid anything that could take a live site down unless you ask for it.
What's the difference between a checkup and a pen test?
A checkup covers the common ways small-business sites get hacked, at a flat price. A pen test is a deeper, hands-on attack on an app, portal or API, scoped and quoted for your system.
Can you test a site someone else built?
Yes. Most of our security work is on sites and apps we didn't build. We'll work with your developer on the fixes or make them ourselves.
Do I need this if I'm a small business?
Small businesses are the easiest targets because nobody's watching. One outdated plugin is usually all it takes.
Who owns the code?
You do: the code, the domain, the hosting account and every login. If you leave, you take everything with you.
